Aceless Academy Formats

Format Philosophy

Aceless formats seek to preserve competitive integrity, interactive gameplay, and creative deckbuilding while removing mechanics that fundamentally alter traditional single-Prize gameplay.

Aceless Standard

Uses the current Pokémon Standard card pool while applying Aceless format restrictions and ban lists.
Regulation marks H, I, & J

Aceless Silver

Uses cards with Regulation Mark G to present, silver bordered cards. This format does not rotate and maintains its own ban list.
Regulation Marks G, H, I, & J

Aceless Expanded

Uses cards from the Black & White era onward while applying Aceless restrictions and governance policies.

Card Release Policy

Aceless Academy recognizes Pokémon's structured release schedule:

• Prerelease Period
• Official Product Release
• Pokémon Play Legality Date

Newly legal cards will generally remain under observation before ban action is considered.

Exceptions may occur immediately if cards create issues involving:

• Prize Card manipulation
• Excessive durability or survivability
